Godin Guitars Roadshow is coming to Millers Music, Cambridge on Thursday 13th June. We welcome Aziz Ibrahim (The Stone Roses, Simply Red, Asia, Steven Wilson & many more) to our store on Sussex Street as part of the Godin Guitars (OFFICIAL) Roadshow tour.

Aziz Ibrahim is a currently the guitarist in AzMik, a collaboration with former ‘The Smiths’ drummer Mike Joyce. Lead guitar with the Pakistani band Overload. Co-Founder of Fret Sector (EDM collective). The founder of Aziz & Dal the Asian Blues Collective and currently working with the Arts Council England on his 3rd project ‘Project 72 Desi GuitR Museum Mixtapes’.


Ibrahim is known for his work as lead guitarist for several internationally acclaimed bands and artists. That list includes artists such as The Stone Roses, Simply Red, Ian Brown, Paul Weller, Steven Wilson, Asia & Rebel MC.
His solo works include his acclaimed album telling the story of his family’s journey from Lahore To Longsight’ , the EP ‘Middle Road’ , and album ‘Rusholme Rock with Tabla master Dalbir Singh Rattan’. They all showcase his unique blend of progressive rock and Asian Blues.
Aziz is a passionate supporter of music education initiatives. The British Council selected Ibrahim as a featured artist and guest lecturer on tours and workshops focused on developing aspiring young musicians from predominantly Arab & Asian countries.

Aziz was recently in 2018 awarded an honorary doctorate by the University Of Salford – Doctor of Arts.

Ibrahim’s expertise has also been featured in The BBC’s Introducing Musicians Masterclass series. He currently serves as an advisor and mentor for University of Central Lancashire’s music program and is a member of the Creative Communities Group.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth recognized Ibrahim’s contributions to Great Britain’s economy, culture, and the music industry in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in 2005 along with Brian May, Jeff Beck and the Bee Gees.
