Rochdale Feel good Festival 2022 is proud to welcome Aziz Ibrahim. Manchester’s finest Desi Guitarist, #LordOfTheStrings. This is Aziz’s first solo visit to Rochdale Feel Good Festival. We’re looking forward to an exciting guitar packed evening. Sat 13TH AUGUST 4.00pm-9.45pm | TICKETED EVENT

Aziz Ibrahim Background

Best known as a guitarist with The Stone Roses/Ian Brown. Co-writing songs such as “My Star”, “Corpses in Their Mouths”, “Longsight M13″, “One Way Ticket to Paradise” and numerous other tracks. From “Unfinished Monkey Business”, “Golden Greats”, “Solarized”, and “The Greatest”.
Ibrahim has also played began his career in Simply Red. The journey led to The Stone Roses, Paul Weller, Steven Wilson, Asia and Marillion’s Steve Hogarth, Jah Wobble, Rebel MC and Errol Brown (Hot Chocolate). Little known fact that he cut his teeth in Reggae with reggae superstars Dennis Brown, Barrington Levi & Freddy McGregor.
His first release the “Middle Road” EP featured guest vocals and guitar from long-time collaborator Weller. In addition to providing guitars on a number of Paul Weller releases, he also provided the vocals for Weller’s spoken word song, “God”, on 2008 album and “22 Dreams”.
Aziz followed this creative collaboration with début album, “Lahore to Longsight”, which he describes as ‘Asian Blues’, and references his family’s journey from Pakistan’s second city to his birthplace in inner city Manchester, where he still lives. The album ‘Rusholme Rock with tabla master Dalbir Singh Rattan, all showcasing his unique blend of progressive rock and Asian Blues.
In addition, Aziz scored the music for free-style 3D shooter PlayStation game “Eliminator”, and has been involved in a number of Arts Council England and other socially engaged projects. He recently composed a South Asian symphony for the Manchester Camerata Orchestra selling out HOME’s Theatre 1, further demonstrating the value and versatility of his natural gifts.

Entry to Rochdale Feel Good Festival

Please note you don’t need a ticket or wristband to enter any of the indoor venues in Rochdale town centre.

Exchanging your ticket for a wristband: you’ll need to exchange your ticket for a wristband before you can enter the main stage area at the festival. Your wristband will allow you unlimited re-entry to and from the main stage area.

Wristbands will be available from a location to be confirmed in Rochdale town centre from 11am on the day of the festival. You can show your ticket on your mobile device or a printed copy.

When your wristband is being put on, don’t let it hang loosely around your wrist. Keep it snug and don’t lose or try to undo it. If your wristband’s been tampered with, you may be asked to leave the main stage area.

lost your wristband? : if you’re outside the main stage area, there will be a location in Rochdale town centre, yet to be confirmed, where you should go for help.

Age policy: all under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Our main stage area is not suitable for young children and unaccompanied under 18s will not be admitted.

If someone under the age of 18 leaves the main stage area, they will only be permitted re-entry if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians are responsible for the behaviour of their under 18s. Rochdale Feel Good Festival operates the ‘Challenge 25′ policy.

Searches: for security reasons, all visitors will be subject to searches of their bags and their person, so pack as light as you can and keep belongings to a minimum. No backpacks or large bags will be permitted. Small bags will be permitted (handbags under 40cm x 35cm x 19cm and drawstring or pump bags under 40cm x 35cm x 19cm). Please cooperate with any security requests and all searches. The less you bring, the quicker you’ll get in. Please remember, food and drink are for sale on-site so please support local businesses. Alcohol is not allowed to be taken into the festival, although it will be on sale.

Smoking and vaping: we want to create a welcoming environment for everyone so the Food and Drink Village will be a smoke and vape-free zone. Please help by not smoking or vaping in this area.
