Project overview
This project boldly explores post-partition south Asia 70 years on, based on a personal journey through the eyes of an artist torn between cultures. Musician, Aziz Ibrahim, will create a new experimental sound, reflecting on national identity, and realizing a “space of unification”. Aziz will work with musicians, multi-media, visual and digital artists, and specialists in cultural theory to create an original music score and performance installation piece which will tour nationally, beyond traditional music venues, also delivering seminars, extending his practice with a specific focus on widening reach among culturally diverse working class communities reflective of society today.
